Denver Summer 7s

General Information:

Denver Summer 7s is a tournament of 7-a-side rugby. It has a tradition of being both fun and competitive. The game is fast-paced and it provides exercise of both fitness and all rugby skills.

Games & Schedule:

Games start at 6pm sharp each Wednesday. Teams will be given a 5-minute grace period for the first match of the day, 3 minutes for all other games. If a suitable side is not available to play by the designated time, the game will be forfeit.

We must remain strict to this schedule so that all games are completed by dusk and we do not overstay our permit. The longest day of the year is June 21, between week 2 and 3, after which days will begin to get shorter. Please be prompt and arrive early.

Prizes:

The first place team in both the mens and womens divisions will each receive a $250 prize and a prize plate to put in a clubhouse. Second and third place teams (if there are enough sides in the division) will receive $100 and $50 respectively, as well as trophies to commemorate their victory.

Finals:

The women's league will play a single bracket for a trophy. The men's league will have the top 8 teams playing for a trophy and the remainder playing for a plate.

Brackets will be posted shortly. Position will be decided by wins versus losses. Conflicts will be resolved by number of games played.

Registration:

To register a side, send email to info@denversummer7s.com. Registration is open until June 10th, 2009. The cost for entry is $250 per team. Full payment must be tendered by the beginning of matches on the second week, June 24th, or teams will not be allowed to continue. Teams that enter more than one team will be charged $200 for every team entered after the first.
